Aarya Shibu, Keighley
As the Holidays are arriving, I have two recommendations, within the city of Leeds, for potential trips that can be enjoyed by families and friends.
The Leeds Royal Armoury
If history and ancient artefacts interest you, then the Leeds Royal Armory is your Ideal place. This amazing location contains very historic relics and recovered items. These include weapons and objects used by the famous Tudor King, King Henry VIII, such as swords. There are even activities for the younger children, with multiple workshops and interesting sights, including a magnificent stone horse (one could say that it is very ‘Horse-ome’) and a beautiful staircase that is decorated with Authentic sets of Medieval Armour. The many facilities include Lunch Areas, Toilet Facilities and other useful features.
St Anne’s Cathedral, Leeds
If you are more interested in the historic background of Catholicism in England, then this cathedral is for you. This is the church in which the Bishop of the Leeds Diocese, Marcus Stock, lives in. The church is known for the amount of peace and solemnity that the numerous feast days during the church’s year, are celebrated in.
